The Geller Cup
Chandler: Is everybody else seeing a troll doll nailed to a 2x4?
Chandler sums up the beauty of The Geller Cup with his spot-on observation. While Ross and Monica would do almost anything to get their hands on it, everyone else is less than impressed. Speaking of impressing people, the next time you’re looking for a delicious fall-themed cocktail, look no further than our own Geller Cup!
We put a spin on a traditional Pimm’s Cup — made with Pimm’s No. 1, ginger ale, lemon, and cucumber — by giving it a Thanksgiving makeover. Summery cucumber and lemon were swapped out in favor of cinnamon and clove, and autumnal hard cider takes ginger ale’s place.
We need to do some more experimenting with this one; Heather is the only one who made it this time around, because Elizabeth’s doing Whole30 for the month. Heather had to make do with a few last-minute substitutions, and also reported on the podcast that she thinks it would taste even better if the ingredients had a chance to mull together for a while, so we’re suggesting that in the recipe notes.
The Geller Cup
1.5 ounces Pimm’s No. 1
1 cinnamon stick
5 drops orange bitters
5 drops ginger bitters
2 slices apple
2 slices lemon
1/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
Combine all of the above in a jar or sealed container. Let groove in the fridge overnight.
Sprig of fresh rosemary
Additional garnish: lemon, apple, cinnamon stick, etc.
Strain the Pimm’s mixture into an ice-filled glass. Top with hard cider and garnish with rosemary sprig and other garnishes.
